Something unsettling stirs within the tranquil majesty of San Francisco. A darkness, one whose natures are beyond the known veils of phenomenal dim, approaches the familiar cobbled streets and Golden Gated communities of California. The waning moon with its downward luminescent peering, serves as a beacon of moonlit stain unto that which nears.
This Summer Solstice, the night of June 21st 2008, the face of the Opera Plaza Cinema will become host for the gathering of a horror unlike any it has ever witnessed before. From the maniacal mind of Reyna Young and Last Doorway Productions, a San Francisco based horror production company, comes A Nightmare To Remember Film Festival. The festival is a creative aggregation of cinematic short horror films serving as a testament of support to the independent filmmaker.
A Nightmare To Remember Film Festival is a three hour journey into the consciousness of horror as visually represented through short film by local and national independent horror filmmakers. The night will bring more than just the showcasing of fledgling purveyors of cinematic fright. A Nightmare To Remember Film Festival is also a celebration, one awarding the top three short films for their representing of the virtue of horror.
The night also brings special guests of August Ragone, author of “EiJi Tsuburaya: Master Of Monsters” and John Stanley, horror host of Creature Features to thrill and enlighten those attending. Admission to the event is a mere monetary exchange of $10. It is a small price paid for an infective night of optical bloodshed and madness. The first ten victims attending will receive an offering of unknown dread. A raffle, accompanied by spoils unto the audience, shall befall upon those in attendance. You have been summoned, and you have been warned….
